Simply machine wash your rug with cold water using a gentle cycle. Do not bleach. We recommend line drying or drying without heat on an air-only drying cycle. A low heat iron can be used if needed. To remove any light dirt or debris, hand vacuum carefully on the lowest setting without the beater bar.

Vacuum regularly at the lowest setting and as needed to remove light dirt and debris. Do not use a beater bar - if you cannot remove the beater bar, raise it as high as possible and vacuum carefully.

Spills should be cleaned immediately using a clean white cloth. Avoid rubbing, as this may push the stain deeper into the rug.

Sprouts that appear on the surface of the rug should be snipped at level. Do not pull the fibers out.

To ensure even wear, rotate your rug every few months. Avoid placing it in direct sunlight to prevent color fading over time. For outdoor rugs, it's best to bring them indoors during seasons when they're not in use. We highly recommend placing a non-slip rug pad beneath your rug to enhance its longevity and keep it in place.

Color will not always exactly match what you see on the website. We do our best to make sure color match as closely as possible, but a few things can cause differences - things on your computer like screen settings, and things in your home like lighting conditions.

Color might also differ depending on pile height - higher pile rugs have less intense colors, while the opposite is true for rugs with low pule height.

If the color of your rug is not what you were expecting or does not fit your room, we are happy to work with you to find a replacement - please email our Customer Service at support@sitaradirect.com.

We ship our rugs folded to reduce costs, but we understand that can result in creases or other imperfections upon arrival.

For rolled edges, reverse roll the rug and let it settle for 24 hours before laying it flat on the floor.

Heavy objects like books can help accelerate the process of imperfections naturally settling.

Creases should settle naturally within 24 hours, but applying light heat from a blow dryer or similar can make things faster.

Handwoven rugs are meticulously made by hand using a large loom, with each piece of yarn interlaced horizontally and vertically. The warped yarn at the end of the loom forms the fringe.

Hand-knotted rugs are individually knotted by hand onto the rug's foundation as the rug is being woven to create a pile.

Hand-loomed rugs are pile rugs made on a loom, with an innovative technique that lifts the warp yarn to create a pile that’s looped or cut.

Hand-tufted rugs start as a pattern drawn on canvas where yarn is shot in loops onto the canvas with a mechanized "gun" to form a pile, which is then trimmed for a smooth cut-pile finish. To secure the loops, a rubber or latex backing is painted onto the back of the canvas.

Machine-woven rugs are often made by power looms, and the speed and efficacy with which they can complete a rug makes these pieces highly affordable.

We do not use any harmful, chemicals, herbicides, or pesticides. Our rugs are GoodWeave certified, which is an international standard in Area Rugs signifying safe materials and production.
